Well apparently I'm the head of household right now, because my mom and dad are both sick as dogs. They noticed me on my computer coding and told me to go get grocieries, so I did.
I feel basically fine now. Still have a bit of a headache, but it's not stopping me from doing what I want.
I talked my dad into letting me use the credit card for Everquest in exchange for the groceries and helpign take care of them, especially since my boss didn't pick up when I was calling about my shifts, so I don't know when I'm schedules to work next.
My download of Everquest finally finished while I was gone, and it RULES!!
So earlier I went out for groceries since mom and dad are both sick. It's a mess out there. Everybody's sick all at once, it's like a black plague.
I drove by my work because my boss wasn't picking up my calls to know my next shift. And wouldn't you know it, the shop was closed and boarded!!
Called my boss again after I got home but no answer. No shifts for me means no money in the forseeable future.
So I get to the Superstore next, and it had like 1 person on shift. I don't know if anyone was in the back. Maybe I'll come back again later to see about working there. The shelves were almost totally empty. No can soup, no toilet paper, all sold out!!
My folks didn't even believe me when I told them how bad it was.. They said they never heard of it getting this bad ever... That means since 1950s. Maybe it was worse during the war.
They've got the news on, and Global is talking about it. It's being called the Global Outbreak because it's all over the world already. There's no flights going on, and there were some tourists on the news who couldn't get home.
Glad I'm not traveling anytime soon. But it sucks having to just take care of my parents day in and day out. At least I'm getting a lot of computer time.
